Partizanske Central Square and Park, Slovakia

SQUARE IN A PARK - PARK IN A SQUARE. Our finalist proposal for the transformation of the central square and park in Partizanske, known for its famous history related to the shoe making industry, is based on a series of scenic ‘rooms’ with diverse programme, maximising green areas and introducing a new typology of public realm to re-activate this valuable public asset.

We believe the transformation of this square is a crucial part of the city’s phased regeneration process, which needs to be a step change into the future based on significant spatial and programmatic decisions in dialogue with the citizens.
