VeloCity at Oslo Architecture Triennale
VeloCity, our collaborative vision addressing the future of the countryside is exhibited at the Oslo Architecture Triennale, the Nordic region’s biggest architecture festival, and one of the world’s prominent arenas for dissemination and discussion of architectural and urban challenges. The exhibition overarching theme of Degrowth explores new ways of shaping our society in the age of climate emergency. Our new publication VeloCity: Growing Villages Differently presents our research and findings about perception of density and proposes alternative scenarios how to achieve sustainable village growth. It is part of The Library at Oslo's National Museum - exploring how libraries can play a central role in breaking free from the growth paradigm. VeloCity is a collaboration between Marko&Placemakers, Tibbalds Planning and Urban Design, Featherstone Young, Mikhail Riches, Expedition Engineering and Khaa.
